Okay, so it's limping to a close in the east. At least we have the distinct advantage of calling one of the few resorts in the New England region our home mountain!
After Easter weekend's absurd 80+ degree temps (which was actually a hoot!), temps have cooled down, and yesterday's 1.25" of rain here translated to 4-5" at the mountain. As a result: off to do approx. day #40 tomorrow, possibly the season's "swan song?"
The meteorological predictors were apparently on target when they called this winter in advance to be a major "el nino." Yep. Definitely not a great one. But hey---getting 40 days in with all the start delays and rain in between? Priceless.
